The Research Associate, Preclinical Development is responsible for execution of experimental research activities across multiple biotherapeutic programs. The Research Associate contributes to the building of a pipeline of promising biotherapeutics for treatment of life-threatening diseases through to launch of first-in-human trials.
This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Montreal, Quebec.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and design laboratory experiments associated with the company’s discovery and preclinical pharmacology activities.
- Support experimental research projects currently underway in the laboratory.
- Analyze and report experimental results in a timely manner
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure accuracy, traceability and quality of work
- Support the operation and maintenance of the research laboratory and associated activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Strong background in molecular biology, cell culture, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience in protein analysis techniques (e.g. ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western blot) would be an asset.
- Experience in protein biochemistry, including expression and purification of recombinant proteins would be an asset.
- Experience in high-throughput methods (e.g. 96-well plate work, multichanneling) would be an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for effectively interfacing with all levels of management and departments within the company.
